JING CHEN

Dr. Jing Chen is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering at the University of South Florida. Her research focuses on investigating bio-based chemical production using the r-BOX platform as well as the biosynthesis of natural products in E. coli. Before joining the Gonzalez lab, Jing received her Ph.D. at the Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her previous research experiences include metabolic engineering of S. cerevisiae for the synthesis of natural products and metabolic engineering of E. coli for bio-based chemical production.
