Dr. Alex Chou is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Florida. His research focuses on developing novel metabolic pathways for carbon-carbon bond formation in biological systems, particularly in relation to the assimilation of single carbon molecules.
He has been a co-author on multiple articles in the field of metabolic engineering. His other major accomplishments include various administrative successes and just generally trying his best. Alex received his Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Rice University and B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University with an additional major in Biomedical Engineering.
2018 – Rice University, PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
2012 – Carnegie Mellon University, BS in Chemical/Biomedical Engineering
